Brewer's Bay Beach, Tortola BVI
Welcome to the British Virgin Islands in the small island of Tortola. Brewer’s Bay beach is a quiet little slice of Heaven that will give any visitor the kind of solitude and peace they crave away from the hustle and bustle of everyday tourist attractions.
The road there is a bit unsettling for the wayward traveler --it’s lined with quite a few switch backs and some rather steep declines that aren’t exactly ideal for those trying to get there. You’ll definitely want to invest in a four wheel drive vehicle to navigate these roads. However, for those who do manage to make it to Brewer’s Bay, they’ll find a secluded, hidden treasure of an island that allows anyone who visits the quiet they need to relax, reflect, meditate, whatever they need to do to settle their nerves from the stress of their daily lives.
The water isn’t ideal for access as there are underwater power cables that criss-cross along the cove. For that reason all charter yachts are prohibited from weighing anchor on the shores of the Brewer’s Bay; however, there is much to explore and discover on Brewer’s Bay. The ruins of Brewer’s Bay --for which it was given its namesake-- are old distilleries built sometime in the 1700s.
The water is shallow enough for young children to play if they want a chance to splash around a bit. For those who are interested in doing a bit of deep sea discovery, you’ll be pleased to note that during the best weather, you can find all manner of wildlife: Tarpon, octopus, squid, trigger fish, and parrot fish. Snorkeling, as it were, is quite the activity around Brewer’s Bay. The water is calm throughout the whole year, so it’s prime for the type of wildlife excavation that you may be interested in.
If you’re interested in spending your nights in a comfortable cabana, Icis Villas offer all the amenities that you’ll need to enjoy your stay. It’s absolutely peaceful --around the villas specifically and in Brewer’s in general. There aren’t many inhabitants and the island is so secluded that very few people even know that it exists unless they’re truly looking for it.
If you’re looking to tuck into some Caribbean cuisine, you’ll only come across one little haunt --Nicole’s Bar and Restaurant. There you can dive into some divine delicacies fresh from the Caribbean Sea. For the type of tranquility you can only hope to find on a secluded island, Brewer’s Bay is the place for you.
