St. Croix Weddings
Are you planning your honeymoon in St. Croix? Why not plan the wedding as well? There is no perfect setting than white sandy beaches, deep blue-green waters and the simple yet attractive life of St. Croix. Escape to the island for a romantic wedding in the presence of nature and beauty, a very good option over rushing about in the chaotic environs of the city. Take you vows in the presence of just family and friends, witnessed by the setting sun.
There are several beautiful settings in St. Croix for a fairy-tale wedding, where you can arrange the ceremony right on the beach. The best among them is one located at St. Croix botanical gardens. You can also opt for the more popular palm-studded beach or the ancient sugar mill. You can also choose to have your wedding ceremony at one of the historic buildings located along Christiansted’s waterfront. One of these buildings includes an 18th century fort with an ancient gazebo, ideal for a wedding ceremony in a vintage setting.

Even better would be getting married on a boat. There are several charters offering wedding ceremonies and parties aboard their boats. You can either go for a small boat meant just for a couple and the minister, or you can hire a larger boat accommodating over 40 of your guests. Sail away into the perfect Caribbean sunset as you vow to spend your life together.
If you are looking to have a wedding at a church, St. Croix has churches of all types including Baptist church, Catholic Church and Episcopal Church. Apart from this, you will also find good florists, photographers, jewelers and caterers, thus covering everything you need for a perfect wedding. You can even buy the wedding dress and tuxedo from a local boutique, in case you haven’t arranged for them. These arrangements can also be made through a local wedding planner for a simple or a lavish wedding. You can get married and immediately set off on a prearranged boat for a romantic sunset sail in the beautiful waters of St. Croix.
Officially too St. Croix is a great location for a wedding, as it falls under U.S. territory, thus eliminating financial or legal hassles. All you need to do is fill up a simple form and submit it at the Territorial Court along with a fee of $50. In case you have been divorced or widowed, you will have to submit a copy of death certificate or divorce papers, whatever the case may be. Though all these arrangements can be made through a wedding planner, you will need to take the license in person when you come to St. Croix.
Once you have had your dream wedding, its time for your honeymoon. You need not go too far as you are already at one of the most popular honeymoon destinations in the world. You can hire a condo, house or a villa for your intimate time together. You can also choose to have your honeymoon aboard a private charter, right in the middle of the ocean. Whatever setting you choose, St. Croix is a fabulous choice for both weddings and honeymoons, with its serene waters and perfect sunsets.
