Cinnamon Bay Beach, St. John USVI

There are some beaches that are so beautiful that their namesake can only that of a heavenly spice. Cinnamon Bay in St. John, US Virgin Islands is one of those beaches. You’ll be taken aback by its pristine beauty and its rustic charm. If nothing else, you’ll feel as though you were at home --if your home just so happened to be cloaked by one of the most enchanting bodies of water in the world.

Cinnamon Bay is truly one of the US Virgin Island’s most incredible beaches. It’s as clean as it is rustic and charming. It gives St. John a feeling of a home away from home if you’ve decided to travel to the bay for a chance to get away from your everyday hustle and bustle. Though it is an incredible beach, you’ll be glad to know that it can be rather secluded during the early evening --between 4 pm and 10:30 pm. You’ll be so wrapped in comfort and peace that it will seem as though you’ve got the entire beach to yourself.

It’s the perfect leisure spot. But don’t let the soft sounds of local music and the clam waves fool you. This is also the perfect spot to get in some water sports or a nice round of beach volleyball. There are facilities abound on the beach --from restrooms to showers. You’ll be able to get whatever you need to ensure that your Cinnamon Bay stay is as marvelous as you could ever imagine. If you’re a big fan of water play, then you’ll love the opportunities to snorkel and scuba dive in the warm waters of the Caribbean. There are fully functional snorkeling shops that offer all the equipment that you could possibly need to enjoy a dip under the sea to get a personal view of the underwater wildlife.

If you’re a wave surfer, then you’ll be able to catch an incredible swell of the shoreline of Cinnamon Bay. Be warned, however. Throughout the year the waters can get a bit choppy and become even too dangerous for those who like to catch a big wave. However, for the most part the water is calm enough for even the kids to have a bit of a wade in its waters. You can also get in some windsurfing as there is a water sports shop on the beach that offers both gear and instruction. Be sure to get in as much of the sea as you possibly can.

If you want to simply lounge and watch the stars, you’ll find plenty of space along the shore to set off a beach blanket. If you take a chance and venture farther away from the more populated parts of the beach, you can probably find a more interesting spot to rest your head --such as a cave or a two person swing in the woods overlooking the beach. Cinnamon Bay offers its visitors the opportunity to enjoy paradise without a worry or care in the world.
