St. John Weddings
This island is lightly populated, with only about 4,000 to 5,000 full-time residents. For that reason the St. John atmosphere is more relaxed than other islands in the region. If you are interested in St. John weddings be prepared for beautiful tropical scenery and the huge Virgin Islands National Park as a background for your ceremony.
You'll have to arrange for ferry transportation from another island, as there is no air service directly to St. John. However, there are still remnants of the Danish influence from years ago and all the necessary amenities are available. Cabins and campsites are the most common form of accommodation. Villas and small houses are also available for rent. Shops and restaurants are in the largest town, Cruz Bay.

The relaxed atmosphere is just right for couples and families that want something other than the stress and pressure of a hometown wedding. Some couples choose to rent one of the villas that will be large enough to entertain several dozen guests. Some of the newer resorts may be more to your liking, giving you both first-class service and access to pristine beaches.
Don't be put off by the relative isolation of St. John. There aren't any stoplights or fast-food restaurants here but the proximity to other islands makes it ideal for a ceremony slightly removed from the mainstream. Experienced wedding coordinators have planned ceremonies on all the U.S. Virgin Islands, including St. John. These professional planners have all the knowledge needed to make arranging St. John weddings as relaxed as island life itself.
One of the full-service wedding planners is located directly on the island, making them a good choice for a ceremony and honeymoon in this unique location. Of course, other coordinators and wedding planners with offices on the other islands can also assist you. Prices for St. John weddings vary, of course, depending on the elements you want to include.
