Hull Bay Beach, St. Thomas USVI

Hull Bay is a veritable surfer’s paradise. The waves are incredible, the water is clear, and you’re sure to catch a killer swell. The white sand beaches of Hull Bay are hugged by the clear blue water that laps up on the shore. Anyone would be more than happy to experience the beauty that is this tropical haven. That being said, the waters do a get a little rough around Hull Bay beach --surfers, bring your best; you don’t want the waves to work you too hard.
As well as a great place for surfers to catch that perfect wave, Hull Bay is a great place for those who are interested in doing a bit of snorkeling. Though there are choppy waters around the shore, there is plenty of calm to go around. As the only residents that really inhabit the area are fishermen, they take great pleasure in combing the softer parts of the sea for their wares. The beach is covered in lovely shade to allow visitors to enjoy its calm atmosphere. There are a few pebbles here and there, but for the most part the beach is drenched in lovely white sand.

If you’re looking to make your way out to Hull Bay beach, you’ll most certainly need to arrange for some sort of transportation to and from. There aren’t any hotels on the beach; however, there is a combination food and bar called the Hull Bay Hideaway. It has a limited menu, but the food is divine, ranging from fresh fish offerings (King fish, tuna, and Wahoo) to tantalizing appetizers (brochette, buffalo wings, and chicken legs). The menu also has a wide selection of burgers and wraps to keep even those seasoned tourists happy. And with prices that are reasonable for anyone visiting, this little hidden treasure keeps the locals and the visitors satisfied alike.
As this is a most uninhabited area, there aren’t many amenities for those looking for a day spent wandering the sandy beaches. Besides the Hull Bay Hideaway and a few residential condos, there’s very little chance of finding anything resembling what you’d find on the main land --bathrooms are in short supply. The beach is mostly for those who want to catch a bit of sunbathing before they explore the rest of St. Thomas. It’s also the most famous surfing beach on St. Thomas. The most activity is during the peak season, when there are fishing boats and surfers galore.

Hull Bay beach is a surfer’s wildest dream and a fishing enthusiast’s paradise. If you’re in the mood for a bit of sun, fishing, and surf, then you’ve come to the right place. Enjoy the food and drink at the Hull Bay Hideaway and get in tune with the residents of the island. You’ll be sure to have an experience that you’ll never forget. Hull Bay is the perfect place to breathe in the calming air and take drink in the naturally lavish beauty of the St. Thomas shoreline.
