West End Beaches, St. Thomas USVI
There’s nothing quite like the chance to explore the natural wonder of the Caribbean without having to worry about being overrun with tourists. If you’re looking for a place to do all of your exploration or meditation, there’s no better place in St. Thomas than the West End. Most of the beaches are undeveloped; thusly most tourists will opt to go for the glitz of the Southside or the activity of the East End.

Home to fewer than 5% of St. Thomas’s overall population, East End has the most incredible opportunities to make a romantic day out of the Caribbean. If you’re interested in having a beach all to yourself, then you’re in incredible luck. Not many people frequent these beaches --mostly because there are little to no amenities and the land is not constructed for tourist visitation. You’ll never be disturbed or rushed to complete your day when visiting one of these beaches. The easiest beaches to access are only accessible via taxi ride --the roads can get a little tricky if you’re not experienced. Fortuna Bay and Stumpy Bay have incredible views of the neighboring islands and are just perfect for capturing the essence of the Caribbean.
If you’re looking for your own private getaway, then you won’t find anything more secluded than Perseverance, Santa Maria, or Hendrik Bays. These beaches are only accessible via the sea. You’ve got to make it a point to visit these little hidden treasures; you won’t find better places to get in a great deal of exploration or water play. Every one of your activities is dictated on your own terms and gives you the chance to enjoy the Caribbean however you see fit. The East End makes for some of the most relaxing and charming enjoyment in St. Thomas.
