St. Thomas BVI Excursions -- Continue

If you forgot your camera, buy one, as you wouldn't want to deprive your album of the beautiful white sandy beaches at the Baths. This is one of the major attractions of British Virgin Islands with mysterious hidden rooms, grottos and pools. A trip to Virgin Islands is a waste if you don't explore the waters. Don't miss out on the wonderful snorkeling expedition through the coral reefs. Diamonds reef is home to some beautiful, sparkling fish, elk-horn, sergeant majors, turtles, angelfish and much more.

Most charters make stops at the wonderful snorkeling locations on the islands. They also provide snorkeling gear, kayaks, sun pads, along with instructions and an experienced crew, so you can enjoy your day. The charters also make a stop at Jost Van Dyke Island with the famous Soggy Dollar Bar. You can relax on the beach, enjoy some fun games, or order the famous 'Painkiller' rum, created and perfected at the island itself.

Most charters offer great drinks including Champagne and Bloody Mary, and soft drinks including fruit juices, however, you can order whatever you want as private charters are customized for your needs. Choose what you want to eat, drink and places you want to visit. Private charters charge between $500 and $1000 for a full day (about 8 hours) depending on the type of boat you hire and specific requirements you may have. On the other hand, half day charges range from $300 to $600, where you may hire a boat for about 4 hours. If you are with family and kids, a full day trip is ideal, which covers all the destinations as well as the fun activities. However, a half day private charter can be hired for a romantic evening, simply enjoying the deep blue waters and the sunset.

Semi-private charters are also available in case you are with a large group, or a small family of four, where a private charter may not be a suitable option. Semi-private charters charge on per person basis. The charges are between $100-200 per person for one day. Most semi-private charters accommodate 12 to 30 passengers, ideal for a large group. These too offer drinks in an open bar having popular drinks such as beer, champagne, fruit juices, cocktails, etc. They also have arrangement for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and cover popular destinations. If you are coming from another country, you may be asked for your passport as identification; however, some charters may even accept other types of IDs such as birth certificates with a photograph attached.
